Saving strayz low-cost spay & neuter program
Our hope is that the Saving StrayZ Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Program will create lasting change for the animals of Birnawood—not just today, but for years to come. By spaying and neutering, we are stopping the endless cycle of unwanted litters that leads to suffering, neglect, and overcrowding. Fewer litters mean fewer animals born into unsafe conditions.

A healthier birnawood for all animals
For the animals already living in Birnawood, this program means healthier lives. Spay and neuter reduces fighting, roaming, spraying, and injury, lowers the risk of certain cancers and infections, and allows animals to live calmer, safer lives within the community. For the neighborhood as a whole, this program means fewer animals on the streets, less noise, fewer complaints, and a more humane, responsible approach to animal care.

Who is this program for?
The Saving StrayZ Low-Cost Spay & Neuter Program is designed to serve those who want to do the right thing for animals but face financial or situational barriers to care. This program is for:
- Low-income individuals and families
- Community cat caregivers and feral cat caretakers
- Rescue groups and independent rescuers
- Anyone is welcome
- Animals of all breeds and mixed breeds
This program focuses on need, not judgment. We believe access to spay and neuter should never be a privilege—it should be a standard part of humane animal care. By removing financial barriers, we empower our community to prevent suffering before it starts.

The biggest benefit for pet owners
It’s the comfort of knowing your pet will never have to struggle through an unwanted pregnancy, never face the dangers of roaming, fighting, or illness tied to overbreeding. It’s knowing you protected them before something went wrong. For pet owners, this program lifts a heavy weight—the fear of “What if I can’t afford this?” and replaces it with relief, gratitude, and pride.
Take the next step
If you have a pet, care for community cats, or know of animals in need, sign up for the program today. Don’t wait for an accidental litter, a medical emergency, or another season of suffering to force the decision.
If you’re able, donate to help cover the cost for someone who can’t. One surgery can prevent countless lives from being born into hardship.
If you have questions, need guidance, or want updates, join our Facebook group: Get Fixed with Saving StrayZ. This is where we share program info, dates, reminders, and support for caregivers.
Doing nothing keeps the cycle going. Taking this step saves lives. Be part of the solution. Choose prevention. Choose compassion. Choose Saving StrayZ. 🐾💙
